Care at home

Support at home, so life can carry on.

Most people would rather stay in their own home, surrounded by their own things and routines. Our caregivers make that possible with practical help and steady companionship.

Who may benefit from our care

Care at home is not only for one kind of situation. Families come to us for many reasons:

  • Elderly people living alone
  • People recovering at home after hospital or illness
  • People who would simply benefit from companionship
  • Families needing respite from a caring role
  • Clients requiring overnight support
  • People needing assistance with daily routines

What in-home care can include

  • Companionship and conversation throughout the visit
  • Support with appropriate personal-care tasks
  • Mobility assistance and fall-risk awareness
  • Meal preparation and mealtime support
  • Light household assistance and tidiness
  • Medication reminders within a caregiving scope
  • Accompaniment to appointments and outings
  • Feedback and communication with the family

Flexible arrangements

Hourly visits, part-day, full-day, overnight, live-in or live-out arrangements can all be discussed. Availability depends on caregivers in your area.

If a caregiver is unavailable

Tell us as early as you can and we will work to identify a suitable substitute. Every substitute is reviewed and confirmed by the agency before placement.

Please note: Home and Hearts Caring Agency provides non-clinical caregiving and companion-care services. We do not provide registered nursing, medical treatment or emergency medical care.

Arrange care at home

Tell us about the person needing care, the hours you have in mind and your suburb.
